2CH Numeracy - Comparing and measuring.

This week in Numeracy Year 2 have been learning about measuring.

We have looked at objects length, compared their size, estimated and then measured the objects.

The children have used 30cm rulers and metre sticks.

Competitions!

Your child has a letter asking them to draw a picture of a scientist for a competition.  competition closes 5^th December

Name the skeleton competition. Your child has a letter asking them to draw a skeleton and think of a name for him. Competition closes 1^st December.

Science week

Next week the children will be trying out some fun activities in science.

Week beginning 17th November

This week Year 2 will be learning to tell the time using the words half past and o'clock.

Encourage your child to wear a watch and ask them what the time is.

Year 2 will also be hearing the story Handa's Hen. 

This is an African story filled with beautiful illustrations and a lovely storyline.

2MB have been striking a pose for the camera! Say cheese!
